Studio Green Screen in Basingstoke and North Hants

"Now for the science bit.."

A green screen is exactly that - a screen or background that is green. By using a specific colour of green we teach our computer systems to ignore the green and effectively make it disappear in the edit suites.

When the green has disappeared you effectively have a "transparent" video - only the subjbect matter of "personality" remains in view, so if we overlay two transparent videos - you can make "you walk by you".
With this transparency, we can transpose any other background of choice into the scene, so whether you want to be on the beach in the Bahamas or the dockside in Southampton - you can be there - and it can be video footage going on behind you. Our studio green screen in Basingstoke has a wall area of 4.3 metres wide x 2.3 metres high, and we have multiple portable green and blue screens (blue can also be used) up to 6Mtrs wide.

In addition to the green screen wall we have a green screen flooring system.

Green screen fabrics

Fabrics to enable very complex green screen cut outs to be made, for example we can cover a table and chairs and make them disappear!

Example.

Shown here is a table and chairs in front of the green screen. Below is what the computer sees once an image is applied to the green screened area within the edit suites. Imagine yourself sat in this scene, you'd be in a large boardroom environment.

 When can I green screen?

Green screen techniques can be used for recording "on demand" video material or even during LIVE! streaming sessions. During either, the background can carry Excel sheets to demonstrate financial forecasts, PowerPoint slides, photos and video footage which can all be changed at will.
